Flakey Moist Cod with Lemony, Butter and Dill Sauce

I love fish, but some members of my family are not so keen on the taste fish has to offer. So this is a great dish for both fish lovers and those who turn their nose up at it. This dishes plays off of the mild flavor of cod, giving it a fresh taste that everybody loves. Plus it is a quick and easy recipe. So if you are not use to cooking fish, no worries.

Ingredient List: 

2 tbsp of organic, grass-fed unsalted butter
2 fillets of cod (frozen or fresh)
3 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp of salt (or to taste)
1 tsp of dried dill


In a medium-sized skillet pan, melt the butter on medium heat.
Add the lemon juice and then the fillets
Sprinkle the fillets with the salt and dill
Cook covered for 5-minutes if fish is frozen; cook for 2 to 3-minutes if fresh/unthawed
Remove lid and flip or turn fish
Cook for another 3 to 5-minutes covered
Cook for another 2 to 3-minutes uncovered (or until the sauce is slightly thickened. Be sure to occasionally turn the fish to avoid it getting dry) (Note. You may also need to lower the temperature to medium-low to avoid overcooking as well.)
Remove fish from pan and let stand for a few minutes
If sauce is still not thick enough, cook sauce for an additional few minutes while fish cools slightly.
Poor sauce over fish and serve
